Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that the Austria arm of Greentube will hold a majority stake in the Malta-based business. The acquisition of Alteatec by Greentube will strengthen its B2B offering as it gains control of the Alteatec Olympus One igaming management system and platform technology, which includes bonus engines, duel tournaments, and other gamification tools. Additionally, Greentube plans to enhance its content portfolio by leveraging Alteatec’s key live dealer streaming and voiceover technology. This will involve integrating Alteatec technology with Greentube’s Novo Unity electronic table games offering. Alteatec has already achieved success in the German market following the launch of regulated slots and poker nationwide. The company provides its platform to both Novomatic and Gauselmann Group brands, which are prominent licensees in the market. As part of the acquisition, Greentube’s CEO, Thomas Graf, and COO, Georg Gubo, will join Alteatec as managing directors, alongside the current MD, Christian Sael.
Greentube CEO, Thomas Graf, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “Alteatec is a market-leader in igaming technology and being able to utilize its talented and experienced team is going to be game changing for Greentube going forward.” Alteatec’s MD, Christian Sael, added, “Greentube is a company that needs no introduction, so to become part of that storied brand truly is an honor. We’re all incredibly excited about this partnership and we can’t wait to get to work, delivering all the services we’re recognized for in order to help the company grow.”
Earlier in October, Greentube also acquired San Francisco-based Present Creative, a company specializing in content creation for the igaming and ilottery segments. Present Creative brings expertise in both real-money and casual gaming offerings, with several products already approved by the Michigan State Lottery.
