ThePogg, a registered alternative dispute resolution provider approved by the Malta Gaming Authority, is a platform that publishes casino reviews. Recently acquired by Brand Streamers, the company has decided to sell ThePogg in order to focus more on its US-facing streaming portfolio. Brand Streamers aims to revolutionize gaming streaming in the US market and has obtained over 20 US licences to achieve this objective.
ThePogg was founded in 2011 by Duncan Garvie, who later established BetBlocker. In 2012, it expanded into alternative dispute resolution and has successfully handled over 6,500 player complaints against online gambling companies, resulting in more than $7.5 million being returned to players. Garvie expresses pride in the achievements of ThePogg and believes it is time to pass the brand on to someone who can take it to the next level.
Under Garvie’s leadership, ThePogg made significant contributions in the responsible gambling space, gaining trust and credibility. They established a Responsible Gambling charity that continues to support tens of thousands of individuals daily and collaborates with major players in the gambling industry. Garvie is eager to work with the new owners to further develop the brand.
Dahlén, representing Brand Streamers Group, notes that ThePogg’s unique position as an affiliate authorized to provide dispute resolution services makes it an attractive acquisition target. They are currently in discussions with several potential buyers and recognize the brand’s reputation and achievements in alternative dispute resolution and responsible gambling as unparalleled in the industry.
While ThePogg seeks a new owner, Catena Media brand AskGamblers is also up for sale after a strategic review. It is understood that Catena is close to finalizing the sale of AskGamblers.
