Under the agreement, BetMakers will pay an initial $3.0m, with a potential further $17.0m due in earn-out payments over the next three years dependent on operational, revenue and profitability targets.
Punting Form utilizes proprietary IP and artificial intelligence to generate sectional times and benchmarks for horse racing, which are utilized in time-based ratings systems.
Professional wagering syndicates, betting operators, content creators, and form analysts make use of the service.
BetMakers aims to enhance its position as a provider of B2B data and technology services for horse racing through this acquisition, reinforcing its Global Betting Services division.
Punting Form’s services and data will be deployed across all operating divisions of BetMakers, with an immediate focus on Managed Trading Services to improve pricing across its ratings engine.
In addition, BetMakers plans for Punting Form to expand its current service offering to include sectional time ratings for North American and other global jurisdictions, including New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, as well as other racing formats like greyhounds and harness racing.
“Sectional times are crucial for any ratings system and are a necessity for any serious ratings engine,” BetMakers CEO Todd Buckingham stated.
“The synergies between our businesses are exceptional, benefiting both our internal use and external client base through this acquisition.
The Punting Form team possesses extensive experience in delivering B2B wagering solutions, and we are excited to have them join BetMakers.”
