Playtech has partnered with The Jockey Club to develop a range of cross-product content inspired by races and racecourses. This content will cover various categories like casino, live casino, poker, virtual sports, and bingo. The collaboration will result in the launch of the first offering during the Cheltenham Festival in March 2022.
The chief commercial officer at The Jockey Club, Charlie Boss, expressed excitement about the partnership and highlighted Playtech’s industry-leading software and focus on safer gambling. In recent developments, Playtech has expanded into Canada through a partnership with NorthStar Gaming and has established live casino studios in Michigan and New Jersey.
James Frendo, Playtech’s casino director, emphasized their commitment to creating engaging branded content and the significance of partnering with iconic sports institutions like The Jockey Club. Additionally, Playtech’s branded content strategy aims to deliver a unique and responsible gambling experience to customers. Although Playtech had agreed to be acquired by Aristocrat, the £2.7bn bid fell through due to a lack of required shareholder approval.
