The partnership between Sportradar and the ICC covers eight major men’s and women’s tournaments, including the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023.
Sportradar will utilize its Cricket Live Score Plus (CLS+) data-capture tool to provide real-time ball-by-ball match data. This data will be made available to media platforms through bespoke feeds and dedicated channels. The InteractSport division of Sportradar will support this technology with its cricket capabilities.
Additionally, Sportradar’s Integrity Services will monitor all 275 matches using its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS), scanning the global betting market for irregular betting patterns. Any suspicious matches will be flagged by integrity experts and reported to partners.
This collaboration aims to enhance the use of sports data as part of the ICC’s digital strategy, ultimately growing the global cricket fanbase and fostering deeper engagement with fans.
David Lampitt, Sportradar’s managing director for sports content and partnerships, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the potential to expand the cricket fanbase worldwide through enhanced content across various platforms.
