In September 2022, sports betting spending in Rhode Island was $41.7m, which is 9.8% higher than the current figure.
However, the current total of $22.5m in August 2022, is 67.1% lower.
This current total is the highest in the past six months, consisting of $28.7m in online bets and $9.0m in retail sportsbooks.
Twin River and Tiverton Casino received land-based wagers, with Twin River taking $5.7m and Tiverton Casino taking $3.2m.
In September, Rhode Island saw a 150.0% increase in sports betting revenue, reaching $3.5m.
However, this was 45.3% lower than the revenue of $6.4m in September 2022.
During the month, online betting contributed $2.8m in revenue, while retail accounted for $663,538.
Twin River generated $441,485 in revenue, and Tiverton Casino generated $222,053.
In September, Rhode Island players won a total of $34.2m from sports betting, with $25.9m from online bets and $5.3m and $3.0m from retail bets at Twin River and Tiverton Casino, respectively.
From January to August, the total handle for sports betting in Rhode Island was $80.4m, consisting of $61.8m in online bets and $18.6m in retail bets.
Revenue during this period reached $6.6m, with $5.4m coming from online betting and $1.3m from retail.
Players won $73.6m, with $56.3m from online bets and $17.3m from retail bets.
