In November, sports bettors placed a total of $463.7m in wagers, surpassing the previous record set in October by 0.6%. The new record highlights the growing popularity and excitement in sports betting.
The total amount wagered in sports betting increased by 84.4% compared to November of last year, indicating a significant growth in interest.
Football was the most popular sport for sports-betting during the month, with a total of $136.3 million wagered on games. Following closely behind was basketball, with bets totaling $132.1 million. Baseball, on the other hand, only attracted bets worth $1.4 million.
When it comes to sports-betting, players also participated in parlay bets totaling a staggering $120.0m. Additionally, a significant amount of $69.1m was wagered on various other sports.
The Indiana Gaming Commission reported a new record adjusted gross revenue (AGR) of $47.7m in sports-betting. This impressive figure surpassed the previous high of $33.3m set in September by 43.3%. It also showed an incredible 88.5% year-on-year increase, highlighting the growing popularity and success of sports-betting in Indiana.
