Atlético Clube Goianiense, a Campeonato Brasileiro Série B side, has recently announced a sponsorship deal with Blaze, an online sportsbook provider. As part of the agreement, Blaze will be the main sponsor featured on the club’s kits. The length of the deal has not been disclosed.
Botafogo, a Campeonato Brasileiro Série A team, has also secured a two-year sponsorship deal with Parimatch, an online sports provider. Parimatch will serve as the main shirt sponsor for the team. John Textor, the owner of Botafogo, expressed his satisfaction with this partnership, stating that it aligns with the club’s expansion and international growth plans.
Blaze’s director of operations, Nick van Gorsel, stated that the company is proud to sponsor Atlético Clube Goianiense and believes that the club’s passionate fan base will complement their own growth. Adson Batista, the president of Atlético Clube Goianiense, mentioned that the club’s strong financial position and valued brand played a significant role in securing the sponsorship with Blaze.
As for Botafogo’s partnership with Parimatch, Anton Rublievskyi, the CEO of Parimatch International, expressed his satisfaction with finding the right fit for their company. He highlighted the club’s rich history, loyal fans, and ambitious plans for the future. Rublievskyi sees this sponsorship as an opportunity to support and grow the sports industry in Brazil.
Both sponsorship deals come as a result of the Brazilian government’s failure to sign the most recent sports gambling law, which would have given the country control over the online sports betting market. Prior to this, Brazil had been working to legalize fixed-odds sports betting for several years. The collapse of these efforts has allowed international operators to once again sign new sponsorship deals in Brazilian football.
