The Betfred Sportsbook at Long Shot’s in the Capital Region of Maryland is now open. This new sports betting facility offers an 80-panel television wall and 12 self-service kiosks. Players can place cash bets at the betting counter and also deposit and withdraw from their Betfred online account.
Betfred recently obtained a license in Maryland, with plans for the Long Shot’s partnership announced in July 2022. Maryland legalized sports betting in December 2021, starting with retail locations, and online wagering launched in November 2021.

Spajic recently joined Betfred as the CEO of Betfred USA. In this role, he oversees the strategy and operations of the sportsbook in 10 US states, including Maryland. Betfred is licensed to operate in Nevada, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Louisiana, Arizona, Iowa, Washington, Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland. Spajic brings a wealth of experience from his previous executive and consulting roles at notable gambling businesses such as Great Canadian Entertainment, Apollo Global Management, Hard Rock International, Rush Street Interactive, Borgata, and Bwin.
