Kindred has joined Sper’s network of members, along with other Swedish gambling operators such as ATG, Bethard, Betsson, Svenska Spekl, and Paf. By becoming a member of Sper, Kindred aims to collaborate with the industry, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders in order to create a healthy and safe gaming market in Sweden. Kindred believes in being a locally rooted and present operator, and joining Sper will allow them to further develop their ongoing efforts. They are committed to taking joint responsibility for the development of the gaming industry in Sweden.
The CEO of Sper, Maria Wennerberg Sedigh, welcomes Kindred’s membership and their desire to contribute to the sustainable and responsible growth of the gaming industry. This move highlights the seriousness with which Kindred regards the need for a healthy and sustainable gaming market.
Kindred’s decision to join Sper aligns with their wider commitment to responsible gambling and the protection of their customers from harm. They have set a target of 0% of revenue derived from problem gambling, and in the second quarter, their share of revenue from problem gambling decreased to 3.1% compared to the first quarter. This improvement can be attributed to increased interventions, which reached 86.4% in the second quarter compared to 83.0% in the first quarter.
In Sweden, Kindred, Svenska Spel, and ATG publish regular figures regarding responsible gambling. According to Kindred’s latest responsible gambling figures for the six-month period ending in June 2023, they contacted 0.5% of their Swedish customers regarding potentially harmful gambling behaviors.
