As part of a multi-year agreement, Sportradar will develop new data collection and delivery systems for the USFL. They will also provide data to betting operators advertising during USFL broadcasts and conduct bet monitoring through their Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS). Additionally, Sportradar will audit USFL integrity policies, offer integrity-related educational services to players, coaches, and staff, and provide annual due diligence reporting.
Edward Hartman, USFL executive vice-president of business operations, expressed excitement about the partnership with Sportradar. He emphasized the importance of partnering with a leading provider of integrity solutions, especially with over 60% of American adults residing in states where sports wagering is legal. Sportradar’s reputation as the benchmark for sports information businesses was a determining factor in the partnership.
Sportradar has recently entered similar agreements with the Canadian Hockey League and the World Baseball Softball Confederation. Ed Blonk, chief commercial officer at Sportradar, highlighted the significance of Sportradar’s fast, accurate, and reliable data in engaging the USFL audience as the league establishes itself in the American sports landscape. He also emphasized that the USFL’s proactive measures to protect their brand and prevent match-fixing and betting-related corruption are reinforced by Sportradar’s industry-leading integrity services.
