Under the arrangement, Kindred’s Unibet brand will partner with Matchis on a joint campaign to promote stem cell donation among its Dutch customers. As part of its “Unibet Impact” program in the Netherlands, Kindred will cover the costs of processing new registrations during the campaign. Matchis is dedicated to finding the most suitable stem cell donors for seriously ill patients in need of transplants as quickly as possible.
“This football season, there has been significant focus on Matchis and its vital work within Dutch football,” said Lennart Kessels, the general manager of Kindred in the Netherlands. “We are proud to launch this unique campaign with Matchis and offer our support. Our Unibet philosophy is ‘By players, for players,’ and through this campaign, we aim to raise awareness for stem cell donations and assist those seeking stem cell transplantation.”
Bert Elbertse, Matchis’ manager for donor relations and communications, commented, “Stem cell donation has gained considerable attention in recent months, thanks to football clubs. Many individuals, particularly men, have registered as stem cell donors. This campaign provides an opportunity to reach a large number of people, many of whom may have already heard about stem cell donation through football. We hope it serves as a reminder to those who have considered it and encourages them to sign up as stem cell donors.”
