As part of the partnership, IBJR has signed a betting integrity protection agreement with IBIA. This agreement aims to combat match-fixing and enhance monitoring of sports events in Brazil.
Brazil recently published a provisional measure for sports betting, moving closer towards its regulation. The regulation of the sector is crucial to strengthen authorities’ monitoring and collaboration efforts in order to prevent match-fixing schemes. This will not only safeguard sports betting companies but also protect Brazilian bettors,” said André Gelfi, CEO of IBJR.
To facilitate effective tackling of the issue, IBJR has introduced representatives from IBIA to key authorities, establishing closer cooperation. Both IBJR and IBIA share the same objective of ensuring the protection of Brazil’s customers.
IBIA’s CEO, Khalid Ali, expressed delight in reaching this significant agreement with IBJR. He emphasized that the shared values and goals of both organizations are centered around preserving the integrity of the betting product and safeguarding consumers and sporting events in Brazil.
The next step will involve exploring joint projects that advance these crucial objectives.
