Genius Sports is partnering with Clue, a UK-based software solutions provider, to enhance its sports integrity offering and combat betting-related corruption. The collaboration will enable Genius Sports to anticipate and detect global trends in corruption, support investigations, and provide greater visibility to sports organizations worldwide. Clue’s proprietary intelligence platform will enhance efficiency and interoperability among Genius Sports’ teams across continents.
Clue’s software will create a centralized digital vault to store Genius Sports’ library of integrity risk assessment reports. Expert analysts will have access to these reports, which will be cross-referenced with news articles, blogs, match footage, and analysis, providing a comprehensive integrity intelligence. The system will generate customized reports and dashboards, categorized by players, teams, match officials, competitions, and regions across multiple sports.
“This partnership with Clue marks a significant step forward in our commitment to sports integrity,” said Simon Martyn, Director of Rights Enforcement & Integrity at Genius Sports. “By leveraging Clue’s leading software, we will be better equipped to prevent, detect, and disrupt betting-related corruption, including match-fixing.”
Clue has a proven track record in providing trusted solutions in sports integrity, ranging from match manipulation and anti-doping investigations to safeguarding and hate crime. Phil Suddick, Head of Sport at Clue, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the opportunity to protect and provide intelligence to over 150 sporting leagues and federations. Both Genius Sports and Clue aim to deter, disrupt, and detect criminals involved in manipulating sporting events.
