After three years of service, Samolyk is leaving Kindred Group. He has been with the company since March 2012 and has held various roles including brand sponsorship and insight lead, brand manager, acquisition specialist, and campaign manager. Samolyk expressed his gratitude and happiness for his time at Kindred, stating that he had the opportunity to work in a constantly evolving industry and with supportive colleagues who taught him a lot. He worked on some of the biggest brands in the sector, focusing on brand and sponsorship. Samolyk referred to his departure as a new play after hitting number 11 at Kindred, his favorite number on roulette.
Samolyk’s announcement follows Kindred’s second-quarter results, which showed a 29% year-on-year increase in revenue to £307.3m. The company’s focus on cost controls and strong performance in the Netherlands has positioned it to exceed full-year earnings expectations. Kindred has been undergoing a strategic review since April, which may result in a merger, sale, or partial sale of the business. As part of this review, new personnel changes have been announced, including the appointment of Nils Andén as interim CEO in May and Patrick Kortman as interim chief financial officer in June.
