Reporting directly to Clarion Gaming managing director Stuart Hunter, Andy Ventris has joined Clarion Gaming as preparations for the 2023 edition of the show begin.
The event, ICE London, will run from 7-9 February and will be held at ExCeL London. It is set to return to its traditional slot and 90% of stand space has already been booked.
Ventris, most recently known as the director of the London Book Fair, brings his experience in marketing and event management to his new role. He was responsible for the global strategy and successful delivery of the April 2022 edition of the London Book Fair, which attracts approximately 20,000 visitors annually.
Commenting on Ventris’ appointment, Stuart Hunter said, “Andy has enjoyed a successful career working with various stakeholders to grow and develop brands across different sectors and continents. The London Book Fair, like ICE, plays an important role within its industry, and Andy’s recent experience with industry challenges and opportunities aligns well with ICE.”
Andy Ventris expressed his excitement about joining the ICE London team and described ICE as a “formidable brand” that every event professional aspires to work on. He looks forward to bringing his insight and events knowledge to the dynamic space in which ICE operates.
One of Ventris’ first duties as event director for ICE London was attending the ICE European Casino Association Summer Symposium, an event that brought together C-level executives from across Europe for networking and discussions.
Ventris stated, “The symposium was a fantastic opportunity to meet many thought-leaders in the casino industry shortly after joining Clarion. I am excited to continue my industry education with a trip to meet our Las Vegas-based partners in August. This is an exciting next step in my career, and I am eager for the journey ahead.”
