Saxon has been appointed at GiG to lead the development of the company’s solutions, including engineering, infrastructure, platform migrations, and data and logic. With over 30 years of experience in the igaming and financial sectors, Saxon brings a wealth of expertise to GiG. Previously, he held senior positions at Sportradar, WorldPay, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
GiG’s Platform and Sportsbook division has been expanding their team with major hires, including the appointment of Richard Carter as CEO. The decision to split the division from the Media division was made following a strategic review. Each business will now operate independently as publicly listed companies.
The appointment of Saxon is seen as a key move towards achieving the business’ goals and establishing GiG as a leader in technology and commerciality within the igaming industry. Other recent developments at GiG include the departure of Richard Brown as CEO, the acquisition of KaFe Rocks, and the successful issuance of €75.0m senior secured bonds to raise funds for the business.
