Renzin will assume her new role as chief compliance officer while continuing in her position. She has been serving as the chief compliance officer since January 2021. Her responsibilities include overseeing legal, risk, regulatory engagement, compliance, and responsible gaming for the group with a focus on customer safety and security.
Renzin joined FanDuel in October 2019 as the vice president for regulatory and compliance. Before that, she worked in various roles for JPMorgan Chase & Co for over six years. She also worked as a managing director at Guidepost Solutions and spent almost nine years with law firm Stillman, Friedman & Shechtman. Additionally, she had one year as an associate with Simpson Thacher and Bartlett and served over 12 months as a judicial law clerk on the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
“Carolyn is a passionate, bright, empathetic, and extremely hard-working leader and colleague,” said FanDuel president Christian Genetski. “In her time at FanDuel, she has led transformative change for our business in building out a regulatory and compliance function befitting the current and future scale of our company. I’m confident she is the right choice to lead our high-performing legal team going forward.”
FanDuel recently appointed Christian Genetski as its new president and Mike Raffensperger as chief commercial officer. Genetski previously served as the group’s chief legal officer for seven and a half years, while Raffensperger was the chief marketing officer at FanDuel for four and a half years before taking on the role of chief commercial officer.
