Casey joined Entain in 2019 as the associate director of marketing. In September 2021, he transitioned to the role of director of operations. In this position, his responsibilities included marketing operations, account relationship management, and customer service.
In a LinkedIn post, Casey announced that he will be joining the private sector but did not provide further details. He expressed sadness about leaving Entain and the great people he worked with but also excitement about returning to the private sector for its different energy and focus.
During his time at Entain, Casey had the opportunity to work in a leadership role with a diverse group of nearly 28,000 employees. He was fortunate to be selected and entrusted with building key marketing/operations functions from scratch and hiring individuals who could make a significant impact.
Casey had previously worked as the head of marketing for the Full Tilt brand at The Stars Group and as the managing director of Betsson Group between 2013-14.
Entain recently reported a 7% increase in net gaming revenue for Q3, with year-on-year growth across all business segments. The group highlighted a 9% higher revenue compared to Q3 of the previous year. The online gaming business experienced a substantial 14% increase in revenue, while the online sports betting segment saw a marginal 1% rise. The BetMGM joint venture with MGM Resorts saw an 8% increase in net gaming revenue, reaching approximately $458m (£377m/€432m) in Q3. Based on the level of growth in the US market, Entain projected that BetMGM’s full-year revenue could range between $1.80bn and $2.00bn.
Looking ahead, Entain CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen expressed confidence in the company’s strong foundation for continued growth and transformation.
