Davis has recently been appointed as the chief information officer and vice president for business technology at the BCLC. During his time in this role, he led the organization’s technology platform refresh and played a key role in implementing their digital strategy. Davis has a strong background in leadership, with experience in enterprise architecture and program management. He is also a member of the Chief Information Officer Council of British Columbia. Davis takes over from Lynda Cavanaugh, who has been serving as the interim president and CEO of the BCLC since January. Cavanaugh stepped in after Greg Moore, who was appointed as interim president in September 2019, went on medical leave and subsequently resigned in December 2021.
“Pat brings extensive knowledge of both the technology and gambling industries,” stated BCLC board chair Greg Moore. “We have full confidence that his experience, coupled with his commitment to integrity, player health, and serving the best interests of our players and province, will drive the advancement of BCLC as a socially responsible company operating at the highest standards.”
The BCLC has also announced the permanent appointments of Dan Beebe as the chief operating officer and Sandra Austin as the chief people officer. Both Beebe and Austin had been serving in these positions on an interim basis for several months before transitioning to their roles full-time.
