Veikkaus has entered into an agreement to become the official betting partner of the NHL in Finland for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons.
As part of the partnership, Veikkaus will collaborate with the NHL to offer a variety of NHL content to Finnish fans through its channels. Additionally, VeikkausTV will provide live coverage of NHL games.
NHL’s business development department head, Joseph Stravato, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, stating that it allows them to provide top-notch NHL content and cater to Finnish NHL fans while expanding their international fan base.
Tuomo Torkkola, the contact manager at Veikkaus, highlighted the popularity of the NHL as a betting destination for their customers. Through this official partnership, Veikkaus will enhance its ice hockey offerings by providing more content from the world’s premier ice hockey league on their channels. Torkkola also emphasized the appeal of Finnish players’ significant roles in various NHL teams.
The 2022-23 NHL season commenced on October 7th and will conclude in June. The season began with two games in Europe, part of the NHL Global Series, featuring the San Jose Earthquakes and Nashville Predators in the Czech Republic.
