Norwich City has announced a sponsorship agreement with BK8 for the 2021-22 season. The BK8 logo will be featured prominently on the front of players’ shirts and training kits. Additionally, Norwich City will collaborate with BK8 on various activations for supporters.
Norwich chief operating officer, Ben Kensell, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating that while BK8 may be a new brand for City fans, they are a trusted name in Asia. Kensell emphasized the extensive reach of the Premier League, with a TV audience of over three billion and broadcasting into more than a billion homes, many of which are in Asia.
By supporting BK8 in marketing to this global Premier League fanbase, Norwich City aims to enhance its own exposure and commercial efforts in these markets. As part of the agreement, former Norwich City player Darren Eadie has joined BK8 as a brand spokesperson.
Recently, Norwich City concluded its shirt sponsorship deal with online gambling operator Dafabet. The successful partnership, described as a record commercial agreement, lasted from the 2019-20 season until now. Dafabet’s branding adorned the team’s shirts during the past two seasons.
Now, as Norwich City prepares to return to the Premier League for the 2021-22 campaign, the club will seek a new principal partner. The club expressed gratitude to Dafabet for their support and acknowledged their crucial contribution to the club’s commercial revenue during the Premier League and Championship seasons.
Dimitris Karatzas, CEO of Dafabet, expressed satisfaction with their collaboration with Norwich City and congratulated the club on its return to the Premier League. Dafabet is involved in several other sports sponsorship deals, including partnerships with Celtic and Cadiz, as well as an extended title sponsorship of the World Pool Masters for the upcoming event.
