Fun88 has extended its partnership with Newcastle United, aiming to support the club’s growth in the Asian market. As part of this deal, Fun88 will implement various initiatives within the Asian market, provide official club merchandise, and offer VIP experiences for supporters.
Newcastle United expressed gratitude to Fun88 for their support over the past six seasons and looks forward to continuing their collaboration in the coming years.
Fun88 has been the primary sponsor of the club since the 2017-18 season, with their logo prominently displayed on the team’s shirt. Although Fun88 mainly targets the Asian market, they hold a white label license with TGP Holdings, allowing them to advertise in the UK as well.
In April, the English Premier League decided to end gambling sponsorships on the front of matchday shirts, with the ban taking effect from the end of the 2025-26 season. Despite this, existing agreements can remain until the ban is enforced. Apparently, Newcastle United has negotiated an early termination of their Fun88 shirt deal, as they are set to announce a new Middle Eastern shirt sponsor soon.
As part of marketing restrictions, the Premier League voluntarily imposed this shirt ban prior to the Gambling Act Review white paper, and it is considered one of the principal measures.
