Under the deal, Kaiyun Sports will serve as the team’s official sleeve partner for the 2023-24 season. Kaiyun Sports branding and website address will appear on the left sleeve of players’ jerseys.
“The collaboration with Crystal Palace Football Club is an important milestone for us to step onto the global stage,” Kaiyun Sports’ chief marketing officer Brian Howard said. “Crystal Palace has a rich history and a growing worldwide supporter base. We believe that this partnership will bring great complementary benefits for both sides.”
Crystal Palace chief commercial officer Barry Webber added: “As Asia’s largest digital sports platform, Kaiyun has a strong and consistent reputation for delivering sports and entertainment options for users. “We are looking forward to working together with Kaiyun Sports to create a safe and enjoyable experience for fans.”
The deal comes after English Premier League football clubs last month collectively agreed to halt gambling sponsorship on the front of matchday shirts. The withdrawal of Premier League shirt gambling sponsorship will come into effect from the end of the 2025-26 season, meaning deals with operators can stay in place until that date. Clubs can also strike new partnerships with gambling businesses. The Premier League also said it would look at working with other sports on the development of a new code for responsible gambling sponsorship across the professional sports sector.
