FDJ has announced the extension of its partnership with ParionsSport, a leading operator in France’s sports betting sector. The deal, initiated in 2018, aims to enhance ParionsSport’s position and includes a collaboration for upcoming NBA games in France.
Since 2019, ParionsSport has witnessed a significant rise of over 40% in stakes on NBA events. This trend is expected to continue with the start of the 2020-2021 basketball season today. As part of the extended agreement, the betting brand will benefit from exclusive image rights of the NBA and its franchises, leading to greater visibility on digital platforms and social networks in France.
Richard Courtois, the director of sports betting at FDJ, expressed pride in continuing the partnership with the iconic NBA, renowned as the pinnacle of basketball worldwide. He believes that this collaboration will provide immense opportunities for development and visibility for ParionsSport in the coming years.
The partnership between FDJ and the NBA holds significant importance for FDJ’s strategy of expanding its online and offline sports betting offerings. Sports betting constituted 21% of the group’s stakes in 2019, reflecting its growing market presence.
Kuljeet Sindhar, the NBA’s senior director of international fantasy and gaming, expressed delight in renewing and extending the partnership with FDJ. As the 2020-2021 NBA season commences on December 22, this collaboration will cater to the passion of millions of NBA fans and FDJ customers in France.
