The nation’s state lottery operator in Ukraine, a major gaming group in Eastern Europe, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Lottery.com. Under this agreement, Lottery.com will become the exclusive distributor of select products in Ukraine, subject to approval by Ukrainian legislation. The online and mobile lottery games offered by Lottery.com will be available both physically and electronically and will comply with the current and upcoming requirements of the Ukrainian legislation on lotteries.
Lottery.com’s CEO, Tony DiMatteo, expressed gratitude for partnering with the leading lottery expert in Ukraine and excitement about expanding into the Eastern European market.
In addition to the agreement in Ukraine, Lottery.com recently signed a similar deal with lottery operator Inball to offer select products in Turkey. The company has been actively working on expanding its international presence and plans to announce more territories in the coming weeks.
Lottery.com, known for enabling players to purchase tickets for lotteries like Mega Millions and Powerball in the US, is undergoing a reverse takeover by special purpose acquisition company Trident Acquisitions Corp. The binding letter of intent agreement between Lottery.com and Trident was announced last November. Trident had previously brought fintech business Triterras public through another SPAC named Netfin Acquisition Corp.
Chairman of Trident, Marat Rosenberg, noted that Lottery.com has developed an innovative platform that has revolutionized the lottery industry by bringing it into the digital age. This platform allows users to play official lottery games directly from their mobile devices in a secure and convenient manner.
