The blocking order has identified over 1,000 gambling sites and 100 land-based establishments that operate without the necessary licenses, which is in violation of article 203-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Recently, three court rulings have mandated the blocking of 594 illegal gambling sites in Ukraine. As part of the investigation, authorities conducted searches and confiscated gambling machines and computer equipment. The relevant information has been entered into Ukraine’s Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations for assessment. Additionally, the KRAIL encourages citizens to report any illegal gambling activities or establishments to aid in their regulatory efforts. KRAIL has also introduced a national exclusion system where customers can voluntarily prohibit themselves from gambling for periods ranging from six months to three years. Lastly, the Ukrainian legislature has approved a bill to establish a 10% tax rate for gambling, a year after the market was legalized.
