Cash Gaming, headquartered in the municipality of Bistriÿa, had its slot machine licence revoked by the National Gambling Office Supervisory Committee. The revocation was based on their failure to pay the full authorisation fee and vice tax for the first quarter of 2023. Cash Gaming only paid RON371,039 out of the total fee of RON1.6m and RON40,330 out of the calculated tax of RON179,325. The Committee determined that this violation of Romania’s Government Emergency Ordinance (GEO) Article 17, Paragraph 2a warranted the revocation of their licence since the outstanding payments were not made within 30 days. The Committee also emphasized that Cash Gaming is still obligated to pay the unpaid fees.
In a similar case, the online gaming licence of Betting Frenzy was revoked by ONJN for failing to declare RON3.2m in gambling taxes.
