The National Capital Region Police Office and Anti-Cybercrime Group of the Philippine National Police conducted arrests in Parañaque City following a raid to combat illegal gambling. The focus of the probe was on Tbb888.com, an online gambling site identified by Pagcor as operating illegally.
Games available on the site include slots, casino, and esports betting. Authorities seized computer sets, mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and flash drives during the raid, which contained evidence of illegal online gambling activities.
The raid took place in the affluent BF Northwest Subdivision, home to prominent political and business leaders in Parañaque. Cases will be filed against the suspects in the Parañaque Regional Trial Court, as part of efforts to intensify the fight against illegal online gambling.
Pagcor is committed to combating all forms of illegal online gambling and has blocked 80% of previously active illegal websites. Villanueva urged the public to play on legal platforms to protect themselves from illegal sites.
Pagcor recently criticized “disinformation” regarding a rumour about spending money to repair its Casino Filipino branch in Angeles City ahead of privatisation. The rumour was denied by Pagcor chairman Alejandro Tengco, stating that no funds will be spent on the renovation.
