The recent case investigation resulted in the arrest of eight people involved in six Modesto business firms in the State of California.
Six companies were accused of spreading illegal smoke products and gambling services in Modesto, California. The police initiated anti-tobacco and anti-gambling operations. As a result, the police arrested several people. All Modesto companies, including the six ones mentioned above, were earlier warned by the Modesto Police Department. Its representatives asked them to stop offering illegal products to clients. The illegal products dealt with gambling machines and smoking tools, including tobacco, cannabis, and hallucinogenic mushrooms.
Except for the Modesto Police Department, the operation involved other legal-control organizations, including the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, the Investigative Services Division, and the Area Command. During the operation, the responsible organizations confiscated ten gambling machines and $10K, the sum received due to the illegal gambling.
The Modesto Police Department released a gratitude statement to the involved legal forces for their persistent work and contribution to the successful investigation of illegal gambling and addictive substance distribution.
During the raid, the police also found one illicit gun and a row of addictive substances. Except for different flavors of marijuana products and tobacco, the raid’s confiscation included cannabis-based goods and the so-called “magic mushrooms” or psilocybin mushrooms. According to the law enforcement confirmation, the total cost of the confiscated illegal products is thousands of dollars.
Concerning the eight arrested individuals, Law Enforcement hasn’t informed the press about their accusations concerning the involvement of the detained yet. There is no information about how each personality relates to the investigated cases.
The Anti-Criminal Campaign Activity is Still Ongoing
The raids were organized and held because of the complaints of residents and business companies concerning the illegal sale of cannabis-based and tobacco-flavored products. However, there is no information about previous investigations related to the six companies that were raided and which properties were confiscated.
The Modesto Police Department states: “The residence should take this raid as a good example of the threat to everyone who promotes illegal gambling and distributes addictive substances”.
Still, the local police together with other responsible organizations promise to continue combating the illegal spread of addictive products and gambling services. The Modesto Police Department states that such illegal businesses negatively affect the well-being and health of citizens as well as their safety.
