Since 2012, our company has been organizing and broadcasting online esports tournaments and LAN finals. We also offer competitive gaming services, brand integration into esports, and media rights sales.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, esports betting has gained significant popularity. This increase in popularity has unfortunately led to attempts to exploit vulnerabilities in esports titles for profit, specifically by manipulating match results.
WePlay has actively supported ESIC’s investigations into the “spectator bug” in Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), providing information that resulted in more than 34 bans being issued to professional CS:GO coaches.
As part of our plans to expand into new esports titles and create new tournament circuits in 2021 and beyond, WePlay has joined ESIC. This partnership showcases our commitment to fair play and our zero-tolerance policy towards match manipulations.
WePlay Esports general manager, Oleh Humeniuk, expressed his satisfaction with the alliance, stating, “We are happy to have such a formidable ally in the enforcement of fair play in WePlay Esports events. Participation in ESIC shows our dedication to competitive integrity and sends a message to both players and partners.”
ESIC commissioner, Ian Smith, welcomed WePlay as a full member, saying, “WePlay joins a prestigious list of tournament operators committed to standardizing an approach to competitive integrity in esports. Their commitment to ESIC reflects their belief in a safe and healthy esports industry.”
