The venue will continue to operate as the HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas at the MGM Resorts-owned casino. HyperX branding will be prominently featured at the property and across all arena promotions, content, and social media platforms. HyperX and Allied Esports will collaborate on co-branded experiences and events to grow their gaming and esports communities. HyperX will also remain as the official peripheral partner, providing gaming headsets, keyboards, mice, mouse pads, and USB microphones for tournaments, special events, and daily play.
Since its opening in March 2018, the venue has hosted over 500 events, including the League of Legends All-Star and Capcom Cup, attracting visitors from around the world. The brand’s director of marketing, Daniel Kelley, expressed HyperX’s excitement to retain the naming rights sponsorship, demonstrating their commitment and dedication to esports and the gaming community. The CEO of Allied Esports, Jud Hannigan, referred to HyperX as an incredible naming rights partner that brought authenticity and credibility to the renowned esports venue and production facility.
Allied Esports reported a decline in revenue and an increased net loss in the third quarter, attributable to event cancellations or postponements at the Las Vegas arena and WPT events due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
