Bayes Esports, a Germany-headquartered company, has secured a strategic match data partnership until 2025 with EFG. As part of this agreement, Bayes Esports now has the rights to various esports leagues, tournaments, and events hosted by EFG. These include all ESL Pro Tour competitions in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), ESL Impact and FACEIT Collegiate CS:GO Tournaments, and EFG’s Dota 2 properties.
This partnership builds upon previous deals and emphasizes the importance of match data infrastructure in maximizing the potential of esports. Both Bayes Esports and EFG will establish a dedicated team to drive innovation in data-driven content creation. EFG will also gain access to Bayes Esports’ existing technological product portfolio.
The collaboration extends beyond infrastructure development. Bayes Esports’ integrity market monitoring and rightsholder protection will be utilized to safeguard the integrity of esports. Martin Dachselt, CEO and Managing Director of Bayes Esports, views this partnership as a positive endorsement and a clear message against the grey market of esports data industry.
Bayes Esports will integrate its data-driven brand into broadcast segments and live events as part of the partnership. Furthermore, Bayes will develop automated content-creation solutions for EFG and its partners, including the “Project V” tool for synchronizing video and data to create highlight clips for social media sharing.
Bernhard Mogk, Senior VP of Global Business Development and Commercial Strategy at EFG, highlights the establishment of industry standards for official data and the joint efforts towards integrity preservation in esports. The long-term strategic partnership aims to continue innovating in data-driven content solutions for the sustainable growth of the entire ecosystem.
