Oshidori has expressed its disapproval of the development and operation rules imposed by the prefecture in relation to casino games.
The company believes that the request for proposals (RFP) process is being conducted unethically and unfairly.
Oshidori has stated that many of the restrictions imposed by the prefecture are unreasonable, making it difficult for the company to conduct business effectively.
The company has also raised concerns about ethical fraud in the RFP process.
Oshidori can only participate in a selection process that is transparent and professional.
The company is grateful for the support and cooperation of local people and expresses thanks to all concerned in Nagasaki’s casino game business.
Oshidori formed a joint bid with Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment to acquire the Nagasaki casino gaming license in January.
In March, the Nagasaki government shortlisted three candidates for the new casino: Oshidori, Casinos Austria International, and Niki Chyau Fwu Group.
Oshidori International Development was established to develop an integrated resort in Sasebo City, Nagasaki, and is owned by Oshidori International Holdings.
Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment recently made new appointments within its organization, including the hiring of Kim Cowan as Vice President of Talent Management and Naketrice Snow as Director of Corporate Employee and Guest Experience.
Cowan, formerly associated with KWConsulting and Prudential Financial, brings substantial experience in human resources.
Snow, with over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, has worked with several hotels and resorts in Florida.
Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment aims to implement a comprehensive human resources strategy across its properties.
“Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment welcomes Kim Cowan and Naketrice Snow to our corporate human resources team to support the continued growth of our company domestically and internationally,” said Ray Pineault, President & CEO of Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment.
The company values its team members and looks forward to the leadership of Cowan and Snow in maximizing each employee’s potential while embodying the Spirit of Aquai.
