Under the terms of the new two-year partnership, Dafabet will be the main sponsor of the club’s playing shirts as they make their return to England’s top-tier league in 2022-23. Dafabet is a licensed brand in the UK and Malta, and as part of the partnership, they will also make a financial contribution to the club’s Community Sports Trust, supporting projects that assist in getting adults into employment.
Rob Mitchell, Bournemouth’s commercial director, expressed the significance of the partnership, stating, “Signing this partnership with Dafabet is extremely important for our football club. The revenue generated will enable us to achieve our objectives of competitiveness in the Premier League and our commercial goals associated with promotion.”
Dafabet has formed several partnerships with British football clubs over the past years, including Everton and West Bromwich Albion in 2012, as well as associations with Celtic, Burnley, Aston Villa, and Fulham, along with cricket teams and snooker tournaments.
John Cruces, head of sponsorships at Dafabet, shared his delight on the partnership, saying, “We are thrilled to announce this partnership and congratulate everyone at the club on their return to the Premier League. The league is widely watched around the world, so having our brand on the front of their shirts will give us excellent global exposure. We will also actively support the club’s community sports trust and participate in relevant fundraising events, offering tickets to all matches throughout the season. We are excited about the upcoming season and confident that we will work together to accomplish mutual goals.”
