The partnership between Better Collective and Goal will see Better Collective taking over the sports betting section of Goal’s English, Spanish, and Portuguese domains. In addition to managing the section, Better Collective will provide Goal with sports betting content, technology, and data insights. This collaboration aligns with Better Collective’s strategy of becoming the leading digital sports media group.
Better Collective’s CEO and co-founder, Jesper Søgaard, believes that this deal marks the beginning of even more significant achievements for the affiliate. He is confident that both parties will benefit from each other’s expertise.
Goal, owned by FootballCo, operates several sports brands including Mundial, Spox, and Voetbalzone. James Lamon, FootballCo’s SVP of content and operations, considers this partnership a means to offer Goal’s readers a more diverse experience. By collaborating with Better Collective, Goal will provide higher quality stats, analysis, and tips to enhance the betting experience for football fans.
This collaboration with Goal is Better Collective’s first agreement with a digital-only news brand. It follows recent partnerships with The Telegraph and New York Post. Better Collective has experienced revenue growth and overall success, with a 96.2% year-on-year growth in operations for the 2022 financial year. This growth can be attributed to key acquisitions and events like the 2022 Fifa World Cup, which have helped increase the number of new depositing customers (NDC).
