The business initially set aside UAH30m to support Ukrainians during the ongoing crisis. This amount has now been increased to provide additional assistance.
Parimatch Tech has already spent UAH42m on social-responsibility efforts. Specifically, UAH39m was used to purchase ammunition and UAH3m was allocated for medicines.
The UAH60m fund will cover various essential items, including over 3,300 pieces of body armour, more than 200 radio sets, 150 thermal imagers, and 60 pairs of binoculars. Additionally, the funds will be used to procure over 1,000 first aid kits and provide more than 15,000 meals to refugees and defense forces. The round-the-clock kitchens will continue to operate, supporting ongoing evacuation efforts.
Aside from the financial assistance, employees of Parimatch Tech and Parimatch Ukraine actively participate in volunteer activities aimed at helping those in need. This includes purchasing goods and medicine, cooking meals, delivering food and medicines, and facilitating evacuations. Some staff members have also joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces, territorial defense forces, and cyber forces to defend the country.
Parimatch Tech has organized warehouses in Kyiv and Dnipro as gathering and coordination points for volunteers involved in delivering humanitarian aid. Moreover, the company has transferred substantial office equipment, such as printers, laptops, monitors, network equipment, and modems, to territorial defense forces. The branded Tesla cars of Parimatch Tech staff are used by volunteers to deliver medicines, food, ammunition, and evacuate residents in the Kyiv region.
The territorial defense forces have received Parimatch Tech branded products and onboarding kits including power banks, hoodies, socks, hats, thermoses, and food boxes. Additionally, Parimatch Tech offers financial support to its staff, allowing any employee to request emergency financial aid.
To focus on war victims in Ukraine, Parimatch Tech has temporarily suspended all other efforts through its non-profit Parimatch Foundation. Instead, the foundation has launched a charitable fundraiser to purchase and deliver food and medicine and support the evacuation of victims.
Parimatch Tech’s decision to increase its financial support follows its earlier announcement this month to withdraw its franchise from Russia in response to the country’s invasion of Ukraine. Betring LLC, which had been operating the Parimatch brand in Russia since 2016, has received termination documents from Parimatch Tech to cease its operations with the brand in Russia.
Founded in Ukraine in 1994, the Parimatch brand has its main development center in Kyiv. Other companies in the gambling industry have also shown their support for Ukraine during the war. The Gaming Industry for Ukraine initiative, launched this month with the goal of raising £250,000, has already generated £226,473.
