Scientific Games has been awarded a six-year contract as the exclusive provider of instant scratch games to the lottery in South Dakota. The supplier has been working with the lottery for over three decades. The contract also includes additional services such as analytics, insights, and marketing. There is an option to renew the contract for another four years.
The South Dakota Lottery executive director, Norm Lingle, expressed satisfaction with the long-term partnership with Scientific Games and the positive performance of their instant games. He highlighted the importance of the collaboration in supporting various programs in the state.
John Schulz, the President of Scientific Games’ Americas and global instant products, emphasized their commitment to providing high-quality and secure games that entertain South Dakota players. He also mentioned their focus on utilizing industry analytics and insights to develop innovative products for the lottery, aiming for responsible growth.
Scientific Games, formerly the lottery services division of Light & Wonder business, will be the sole provider of scratch games for the South Dakota Lottery. The company has recently extended contracts with other lotteries, including those in Latvia and Ecuador.
