The acquisition of Central Park stadium by ARC adds to their growing portfolio of greyhound stadia, which already includes venues in Newcastle, Nottingham, Sunderland, and Perry Barr. ARC, a leading operator in the industry, also manages sixteen racecourses. Mark Kingston, ARC’s director of media and technology, expressed his delight at the agreement with Cearnsport Limited and the addition of Central Park to their group of venues. He also acknowledged the valuable expertise and knowledge of Roger Cearns, who will support the business during the transitional period.
Cearns, who is a promoter at Central Park, believes that the acquisition is the right step for the future of the stadium, its trainers, and employees. After being connected to greyhound stadiums for 60 years and spending 23 years at Central Park, Cearns feels it is time to retire and pass the torch to younger individuals. He thoroughly evaluated various possibilities and determined that ARC, with their extensive experience and operation of over 20 venues, is the best option to ensure a secure future for Central Park.
In addition to their recent acquisition, ARC and Entain announced a joint media rights deal. This collaboration will involve the production of greyhound racing content specifically for Entain’s media channels.
