The licence for Casino Neuchâtel to launch its online casino and poker services has been granted by the ESBK board after a recent meeting. The casino can now start preparing for its roll-out, pending final approval from the regulator. The Swiss igaming market opened in July last year and has seen significant growth with several licensed operators. During the first six months of operations, the market generated CHF23.5m (£19.3m/€21.7m/$25.8m) in revenue from four live brands. Additional venues, including Casino Interlaken, Grand Casino Bern, and Casinò Lugano, have also been granted licenses. Pasino.ch, licensed via Casino du Lac, was the most recent site to launch earlier this month. In other news, the ESBK announced a change in leadership, with Hermann Bürgi set to step down as president at the end of the year. Fabio Abate, a member of the ESBK board since early 2020, will replace him.
