Betegy chief executive Alex Kornilov discussed the growth of the business in the finance industry. In the past eight years, Betegy has formed partnerships with operators such as Tipico and Bwin, as well as media companies like ESPN and Ringier Axel Springer.
Kornilov mentioned that Betegy initially focused on data analytics and started by providing predictions for Euro 2012. Over time, the company expanded its offerings and now provides data, analytics, and an API for betting operators and media companies.
Betegy stands out from other data and analytics businesses in the betting sector by prioritizing collaboration with clients to deliver the best products.
JKR chief executive Alex Gusev revealed the growth strategy for Betegy in the next 3 to 5 years, which includes expanding the client base and adding at least ten new clients in the early years. JKR’s industry expertise and network will contribute to achieving these goals.
Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Gusev believes that JKR’s investment in a sports data business can overcome uncertainties and identify opportunities.
In addition to the investment, Betegy plans to enter the US market and has appointed experienced industry veteran Bill Pascrell III to its board. Pascrell emphasized that Betegy’s combination of high-quality analytics and media support sets it apart from competitors.
The investment will not only allow Betegy to expand its staff but also demonstrates market belief in the company’s potential. It will provide the necessary funding for Betegy’s expansion plans and enable the hiring of more resources for coding, analytics, design, and artwork.
Pascrell emphasized that the investment signifies a significant development for Betegy, as investment companies do not make casual investments and it usually marks the beginning of something important.
