In October, online wagering contributed significantly to the gross gaming revenue in Colorado, amounting to $16.7 million. In contrast, retail operations in the state only generated $667,943 during the same period. This highlights the growing dominance of online platforms in the gambling industry, yielding substantially higher revenue compared to traditional brick-and-mortar establishments.
Net sports betting proceeds in the finance sector saw a significant turnaround, increasing from a loss of $3.4m in September to a noteworthy $9.6m in October. These figures reflect the positive impact after the deduction of federal excise tax and sports wagering promotions such as free bets.
Online betting was the primary source of income for finance operators, generating net proceeds of $9.0m, representing 93.8% of the total net proceeds.
