Melissa Summerfield, CEO of Markor Technology, was drawn to her latest role because it offered the opportunity to lead a startup. With her extensive experience in large companies, she was eager for a change and the chance to use her skills and knowledge in a new setting. As an ambitious person, being able to start something from scratch and watch it grow was a priority for her.
Summerfield’s career began in BetVictor, where she headed their CRM department. She then moved on to Party Gaming and later BWin.Party after the merger, where she was promoted to head of gaming operations. However, she felt the need for a change and transitioned to the B2B side of the business, setting up the office for Microgaming in Gibraltar. Her journey continued as she became VP of operations at Microgaming and eventually the chief commercial officer at Pragmatic Play. This combination of experience prepared her for her current role.
Markor Technology distinguishes itself by offering a wide range of product types and licenses, making it a one-stop-shop for online gaming operators. Whether it’s setting up a casino with sportsbook and bingo or providing gaming content to operators with an existing PAM system, Markor Technology has the solutions. With B2B and B2C licenses, they have ambitions to acquire more licenses and expand their global reach.
Markor’s key strategy revolves around strong licensing and certification of their technology, actively seeking opportunities to acquire licenses and partnering with local operators. While they may not have as many integrated games as some established aggregators, they differentiate themselves by providing the best service through excellent relationships with partners.
To reach clients, Markor Technology has recently launched a new corporate website and brands. They also engage with the industry through trade shows and exhibitions, such as SBC Barcelona and G2E Vegas. Their participation in these events has been met with positive responses, boosting their confidence in the company’s future.
Despite being a newcomer, Summerfield has high ambitions for Markor Technology. She envisions them becoming one of the top three game aggregators and the leading PAM solution provider within the next year. With their product services and licenses, she believes there is no reason why operators wouldn’t want to work with them.
