Parimatch has announced that Alexander Sergeev, the former CEO of Parimatch Confederation of Independent States (CIS) business, will be responsible for developing the brand in Russia. Sergeev will also oversee the transition of Parimatch Russia from the Parimatch CIS business to a franchisee of Parimatch Tech. Parimatch recently rebranded to Parimatch Tech to focus on providing B2B solutions for franchise partners, which will increase brand awareness among potential partners for its technology solutions offering.
Sergeev will lead the expansion of Parimatch Russia across the Central Eastern European (CEE) region by applying for local betting licenses and exploring growth opportunities in CIS markets. The CEE region includes Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The CIS region comprises Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
Yuliya Leshkova, the former deputy CEO of Parimatch Belarus, will now head Parimatch CIS. No major structural changes are expected for the Russian division, which is led by CEO Ruslan Medved, and has experienced growth across multiple verticals in recent years.
Parimatch plans to announce more specific development plans for the Eastern European regions next year.
Alexander Sergeev expressed excitement about leading the team’s efforts in Russia and developing the franchise-based expansion in Eastern Europe. He also highlighted the strong financial performance and exponential growth of Parimatch in each of the CIS regional markets.
