Jaldung has been the CEO of a casino operator since November 2008 and will be leaving the business by the end of this year. He joined Casino Cosmopol in June 2002 as a security manager and later became the general manager before taking on the top role almost 20 years ago.
Before joining the operator, Jaldung spent over nine years in law enforcement. He served as an acting detective superintendent for Sweden’s National Criminal Investigation Department from January 2001 to June 2002 and was a detective inspector for five and a half years. He also worked as a police officer for the Stockholm Police Department for three and a half years.
Jaldung has been the chairman of the board for the European Casino Association since February 2015. Reflecting on his time as CEO, he mentioned various significant events and achievements, including the opening of a casino in Stockholm, media attention (both positive and negative), penalty fees from the gaming authority, and improvements in gambling responsibility.
Despite the challenges and successes, Jaldung stated that it is time for him to pass on the leadership to someone new who will continue to develop the casinos for the future. He intends to continue leading the business as usual and preparing for the management transition. By the end of this year, he will leave his position, excited to explore new and exciting challenges in the future.
