Retail sports betting handle in the month of September increased by 37.3% to reach $22.1 million, showcasing a substantial growth in this market. Additionally, the revenue generated from sports betting during this period amounted to $1.5 million, marking a 24.8% increase compared to August. These favorable results highlight the rising popularity and profitability of sports betting as a form of entertainment and investment.
In the world of sports-betting, there was a significant increase in online stakes, reaching a total of $283.0m, representing a substantial growth of 128.2% compared to the previous period.
However, despite the surge in bets, the revenue generated from these online wagers experienced a decline of 10.0%, amounting to only $5.4m.
Rush Street Entertainment’s Kambi-powered sportsbook continues to dominate in sports betting revenue, accounting for almost all of the generated income in the state. Despite a slight decrease of 4.4%, the sportsbook brought in $6.0m, with stakes amounting to $11.2m, down 4.3%.
