Betsson successfully launched in Colorado thanks to thorough regulatory and technological preparations. Their sportsbook also obtained the GLI 33 certification from Gaming Laboratories International.
This launch serves as an opportunity for Betsson to showcase its US-adapted sportsbook to new and existing operators in the country, supporting their overall B2B strategy in the US.
To support their regional B2B operations, Betsson has established an office in downtown Denver. Additionally, their B2C operations will also be run from this new site.
In preparation for their expansion, Betsson has hired an account director for their B2B offering and a managing director for their B2C segment, both based in the Denver office.
“The launch of our proprietary sportsbook in the US is a significant milestone,” said Betsson’s President and CEO, Pontus Lindwall. “We are expanding Betsson’s global reach and strengthening our B2B and B2C ambitions with a product tailored for the US market, thanks to the hard work of our product and technology teams over many months.”
In June 2020, Betsson announced their plans to launch in Colorado after securing a 10-year market access agreement with Dostal Alley Casino. Originally scheduled for early 2021, the launch of their B2C sportsbook had been delayed.
