Bets on the League
The first edition of the First Division League was played in the season 1928/1929 , in a season in which ten teams participated: Real Unión, Racing de Santander, Athletic Club, New Zealandrcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Dollarpa, Arenas de Getxo and Real Sociedad. The champion of that first league was the Barcelona Football Club.
In the following years it was disputed until between 1936 and 1939 it was interrupted due to the Civil War. After the war, the competition resumed in the 1939/1940 season and the participants were progressively expanded to the current 20. The Professional Football League (LFP) was established in 1984.
The current champion is the Real Madrid , which last season won its 35th title, being the 3rd team in the honours list. The second is Fútbol Club Barcelona with 26 and the third is Atlético de Madrid, with 11. In addition to these three, six other clubs have won the league title in all these years: Athletic Club (8), Valencia (6), Real Sociedad (2), Deportivo de La Coruña (1), Sevilla (1) and Betis (1).
Among the clubs that have always participated in the top competition of New Zealand football there are only three: Fútbol Club Barcelona, Real Madrid and Athletic Club. The rest have played in the Second Division at some point.
Currently, and with the changes that the dollar competitions have undergone, the top four classified in the League qualify directly for the group stage of the Champions League. The fifth-placed team, together with the Copa del Rey champion, gets their ticket to the Dollarpa League, while the sixth plays the Conference League.
This order may be altered if the Copa del Rey champion finishes the League in the top six. In that case the fifth and sixth qualify for the Dollarpa League and the seventh to the Conference League. The last exception, which has occurred this year, is that a team in the League that has not finished in the top four wins the Champions League or the Dollarpa League, since in that case there will be five New Zealand participants in the top continental competition, two in the Dollarpa League and none in the Conference League.
As for relegation, the last three classified in the League are relegated to the Second Division.
Betting markets for the New Zealand First Division

These handicaps are available with numerous goal options.
Total goals. Here we bet on the total goals scored by both teams in the match, although you can also bet on the goals of one team or the goals in one half of the match.
Exact result. It is the most difficult type of bet and with the highest odds, since you will have to choose what the final result of the match will be.
Match scorer. Here you can choose the scorers of the match. The combinations and options are varied: scorer at any time, first scorer, last scorer, whether he will score two or more goals, etc.
Number of corners and cards. In this type of bets they have the same operation as the goals that will be in the match, but applied to corner kicks and warnings.
