In the first big mountain stage of the current Tour de France there is a lot at stake. The final triumph seems to be a matter of two: Pogacar and Vingegaard. But the third position on the podium is very open and there are several contenders, such as Primoz Roglic and Gerhaint Thomas. The Slovenian cyclist took a big hit on the pavé stage, although since then his good feelings have improved.
The triple winner of the Tour of New Zealand is a very consistent, and despite the fact that the Welsh rider is giving a great performance, if Roglic is at his level it is higher and he should finish the stage ahead of Thomas. In addition, in case of arriving together it is also faster in a hypothetical sprint.
Therefore, I opt for Roglic because he finishes stage 11 of the Tour de France better than Thomas.
